March 2024

03 March

I have decided that I need to have
an outdoor challenge for myself for every year starting this year. This years
is going to be The Crucible Hike on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. The
reason that it will be a challenge is because it will be a thru hike of the
trail over three days. Twenty four miles day one, twenty seven miles day two,
and 19 miles on day three. I am also going to use this to get myself back into
a healthier state of being.

I started this blog and the
Instagram and facebook pages with the intent of climbing the 46 high peaks of
the Adirondacks. So I am going to update that goal, I will hike all 46 high
peaks by the time I am 50. This will be starting next year when I am 45, so 5
years to climb those mountains.

With that said I need to start
training. Todays hike was the first day of training for the crucible hike. With
the strength training and cardio beginning this week. Today’s hike was the
first hike of the training block. The plan is to build hiking mileage up to 15
miles every time I go out with a 19, a 24 miler and a 27 miler at somepoint as
well prior to 01 Sept. To focus on building strength until 01 Sept, and after
that it will be deload until after the hike is done. The cardio will be
alternating days of running and riding my bike, unless I am hiking that day in
which case the run or bike ride will be cut out. After 15 April I will begin
adding a day of running and a day of riding my bike until I am doing both
everyday. Then when I hike one of the two will be cut out.

So today’s hike was five miles on
the LHHT starting at Rte 30 (Lincoln Highway) and heading 2.5 miles south then
turning around and returning to the truck. Now the weird thing is that for some
reason my Garmin Watch said that I only went 4.86 miles. Which of course
doesn’t add up, but whatever. I unfortunately wasn’t able to to take Guinness
with me today, he wasn’t feeling good. All he wanted to do was lay on the bed
and cuddle up with Christina. He seems to be doing better now at 1900 (7 PM).  So hopefully he will be back to his normal
self and able to go with me for the next training hike.

15 March
2024

Well I bailed on last weeks hike when I started out but it
was raining so hard that I kept slipping and sliding and almost fell 3 times in
less than .25 mile. I went a total of .64 mile when I called it. Guinness was
feeling better the day after the first training hike so he went with. I did go
out again today though, with the big guy. He was ecstatic with the saunter, I
had planned to go seven miles and ended up going seven and one half miles. Went
up to Laurel Mountain and linked a few of the trails together to make a
lollypop shape. I will figure out an eight mile loop at Laurel Hill State Park
for next week. The following week myself and Christina are going away for our
anniversary so will take the time off from training to hit it harder when we
get back.

I found out today in the rainy foggy
weather that I need to get a new pack cover. So there are six items that I need
to get over the next few months. They are in no particular order Pack Cover,
Garmin Inreach, Tarp, Battery bank, filter system, and water bladder. I have
found that a water bottle alone is too much of a pain to use. So I will also
make a pouch to put my water bottle in to attach to one of the shoulder straps
for the pack. I did find that I much prefer having my poncho over my pack
instead of a raincoat on while hiking it seemed to breathe better than any
raincoat I have ever used.

09 May

On the 3rd Guinness and I went to Laurel Mountain to go for a hike. It was snowing and raining when we first got up there. We waited about 10 minutes and the precipitation stopped, we started out and not even 5 minutes into the hike the sky opened up and started to pour. Guinness looked at me I asked him if he wanted to keep going and he started back towards the truck. So today was sthe first actual hike we went on this month. Once again went up the mountain and started at the Beams Rocks Parking area. Went down to the spur trail to the LHHT. Then went north, at 1 hour from the time we started we turned around. That was just under 2.5 miles. So when we got back to the truck just over 2 hours from the time we started we went just under 5 miles. The weather was perfect for hiking, mid to upper 50s. Partly cloudy and no wind to speak of.

14 May

Today Christina and myself went to Swallow Falls State Park in Oakland Maryland. We went and hiked on the Swallow Falls Canyon Loop Trail. A 1.25 mile trail, that I managed to make into a 1.75 mile trail, that goes along the Youghiogheny River and Muddy Creek. There are four waterfalls, Muddy Creek Falls, Upper and Lower Swallow Falls, and Toliver Falls.

20 May

Well the plan was to take Guinness hiking yesterday but something came up and that got shot down. Oh well Semper Gumby, so I took him today. Went up the Mountain to Laurel Summit Rd with the intention of going back to Laurel Summit State Park and starting and ending there, a few loops that I can do from that point. But that plan got shot to hell when I saw that they have Laurel Summit Rd closed just beyond the intersection of Laurel Summit and J.E. Miller Rds. So that parking area in the Forbes State Forest is where I decided to start from. Again Semper Gumby. We started by crossing Laurel Summit Rd on J.E.Miller Rd and going to the LHHT crossing. We then turned North on the LHHT and followd that to the Beams Rocks Trail. Up the hill and to Laurel Summit Rd down to Black Bear Trail we went. Then followed Black Bear Trail back to J.E.Miller Rd and back to the Truck. A short hike today in that we only went 2.66 miles in just over one hour.

Until next time stay safe and enjoy the gifts of the creator in all of their glory.

April 2023

April 03.

Well, I was doing a monthly post with making a separate entry for each time I went outdoors. But my computer died in Dec. so that got sidelined for a bit. Now I’m back at it. Today I took Guinness Menoher Highway (Rte. 271) Trailhead. We went a total of 4 miles, 2 miles out and 2 miles back. This is the section where you go through the miniature slot canyon in the rocks. Probably one of my favorite sections of trail.

April 08

Today Christina and I went with Guinness the Traildog to Ohiopyle State Park. We went on the Johnathan Run Trail. Went a total of 4.26 miles and hit up Upper Johnathan Run Falls, Lower Johnathan Run Falls, Fechter Run Falls, and Sugar Run Falls. We met several people who were impressed with Guinness and his pack. A really nice older couple from Maryland who we talked with for probably a good ten minutes. She said that she isn’t a dog person but gave Guinness loving and told him how handsome he is. Then when we left, she told him it was very nice to meet him. The weather was perfect for an early spring hike in Penn’s Woods. Started out a bit chilly but warmed up to the low to mid 50’s by the time we were done.

This morning before Christina got up, I decided that I am going to go on at least 2 overnighters this year.  The first one will be at Spruce Knob in the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. The other will more than likely be on the LHHT. If I can get a third in I will but not sure where that one will be as of yet. I am going to shoot for June 12-13th for the Spruce Knob Hike. I need to get a Bear Cannister and either make or buy a pouch for my shoulder strap for my water bottle. I have a hell of a time getting it in and out of the side pocket on my pack.

April 15

Today I took Guinness up on Laurel Mountain. We went about 2 miles; it was a bleak gray morning a bit on the chilly side with quite a bit of fog when we started out. By the time we made it to the truck at the end it had warmed up a bit and most of the fog had burned off but it was still gray and cloudy. It was refreshing to see everything starting to green up again though.

April 19

Today we went to Laurel Hill State Park. Started out at the Tram Rd Trail Parking lot and went across Jones Mill Run on the Park Rd. Then got on the Copper Kettle Trail followed that around to the Boat Launch, down the road to the Hemlock Trail. Took that across to Buck Run Rd, up to the Martz Trail. Down the Waterline Trail then followed the Pumphouse Trail to Shay Trail getting on the Tram Rd Trail and back to the truck. Along the Tram Rd Trail Guinness stepped into Jones Mill Run and slipped on a rock. I think he pulled a muscle in his right front leg. He was limping a little bit with that leg when we got home.

April 25

Today I went with Guinness to Ohiopyle State Park and hiked on the Meadow Run Trail. We did not do the trail in its entirety, only went from the “Waterslides” up past the Cascades a little bit then turned around. We went a total of 4 miles. I had never been up that far on the trail before, and will sometime this year head back down there and do the entire trail From Cucumber Falls up and around and back. Should be a good 2-3 hour hike I’m thinking. Flat rock would be a cool place to just go and hangout and of course at the cascades. The only problem being that with the climbing areas right there probably get a bunch of groups that would become a bother at both spots. There was a bunch of deadfall partially blocking the trail in numerous places, I know that they won’t be there for too long as the maintenance crews for the park will get out and clear them away before Memorial Day Weekend when the busy season ramps up. What I have hiked of this trail is definitely one that I would recommend and keeps me coming back for more.

November 2022

November 2022.

November 1st I had to work the night shift on so didn’t get out hunting at all.

November 2nd I was tired still when I got home from work in the morning so I didn’t go out but stayed home and got some sleep. I went out about 1330. On my way in to where I planned on hunting for the afternoon/evening I jumped three does from their beds. I took that as a good sign. The afternoon went by rather quietly with nothing much moving around except for a couple of squirrels and chipmunks. At around 1700 up hill and to the North East of my Position I heard a deer blow a few times. The wind was coming from the East and I was sitting on a bench of a finger that runs northwest/southeast with the SE side being uphill. About 45 min. later I saw a lone doe making her way downhill behind me. So as soon as her head was behind a tree a stood up and turned around. Now there is too much growth in the way for me to take a clean shot. So I waited until her head was again behind a tree then slowly and carefully shifted so that when she cleared the thick stuff I would be able to shoot. Once that was completed she still had her head behind the tree and unable to see me, and with the East wind I wasn’t worried about her smelling me, I took a quick range of the tree just behind her. The rangefinder told me that she was about 30 yards away, the tree was 35. So as soon as she was clear and looking away I pulled the bow up and drew touching the string to the corner of my mouth, tip of my nose, and hat brim getting all contact points for my anchor position. Now she is moving and won’t stop. I make a quick “meh” sound to get her attention. She is slightly quartering away, she stops and looks and I hit the release. Now I don’t know if she saw the movement of my finger or jumped the string, or just didn’t like what she was seeing but she turned to run just as I released the arrow. That slight turn she made was just enough to save her life, I missed. Deflated I watched her trot up the hill to the South-Southeast stop look over her shoulder blow once flip her tail up and run off. All I could do was watch that White Flag bound through the forest until behind some brush. Then I went and looked for blood, I was certain that it was a clean miss but have to be sure. Not finding any I went back collected up all of my gear and started back to the truck to head home for the night since it was now after sunset but not yet the end of shooting light. I looked for and found my arrow on the way back and now I knew for 100% certain that it was a clean miss. Thank You God that I didn’t wound her with a non-fatal hit I would feel sick to my stomach if I had done that.

November 3rd I saw absolutely nothing.

November 4th T’was  nothing seen. I did hear some deer moving around just before dark and more importantly could hear a Buck moving. I could hear his antlers hitting branches in the brush across the creek from where I was hunting.

November 5th I saw a Coyote about 1000-1030, he popped out of a small gully about 20 yards from me on the right. He saw me and his eyes got real big and he immediately turned to his right and ran off towards the North. I figured that I probably wouldn’t see anything in that area today so went home to grab a bite to eat and regroup. Went back out about 1230 on the opposite side of the creek from where I sat in the afternoon of the 4th. I didn’t see anything besides squirrels and deer mice. The winds were blowing about 15mph. No big deal, then I watched a big Cherry Tree fall over, at that time I said while I know I won’t get a deer if I don’t stay out here I am not going to sit in the woods with trees falling.

November 6th I took Guinness up on Laurel Mountain for a hike this morning. We went a total of 3.23 miles. We made a loop of The Loop Trail, Towhee Trail, Spruce Run Trail, and The Summit Trail. We did this in 01:07:34, averaging 00:20:55/mile, and 2.9 mph.

November 7th I didn’t see anything in the morning, part of the problem being that everywhere I planned on going had numerous vehicles with no one to be seen when I got there. In the afternoon I went over to Birdman Rd where I missed the Doe on the 2nd. I saw 3 doe cross the ridge above me too far away to get a shot. A young doe by herself bedded down about 50 yards from me about 1500. She laid there until about 1700-1715 when she got up and ran a few steps on high alert. She was looking to the North East, had a westerly wind and she was South of me, for a minute or two. She then blew a few times and ran off to the south in quite a hurry. I have no idea what it was that she saw but whatever it was she did not like it. There was a flock of turkey that wandered through sometime in the afternoon, they must not have seen me because they weren’t in any hurry and didn’t seem spooked at all.

November 8th  I don’t know for a fact if it was because of the full moon and how bright it was but I didn’t see anything but a few squirrels moving around all day.

November 9th I overslept so didn’t get out until 1230. I did see the flock of turkey from the other day again. If they were in range I probably would have shot one of them. I also saw three deer. Two doe, a mother and daughter, and a young buck. He had antlers sticking up about ¾ of an inch. I’m thinking he may be this year’s fawn from that mother. I know that the mothers will chase their buck fawns off to avoid inbreeding, and I have seen three deer together in that same area multiple times this year.

November 10th I had to take my truck in to get some work done on it in the morning so only went out for a few hours in the afternoon. I had a Doe come walking up about 15 min after I had sat down, I really wasn’t expecting anything to walk up at that time. She was about 20-30 yards away from me and upwind. She looked over her shoulder so I knew there was a buck coming along too so I didn’t take a shot, just waited to see what was coming. Unfortunately, due to Pennsylvania’s asinine Antler Restrictions I wasn’t able to take a shot at him. He stopped with a perfect broadside to me but I wasn’t able to put a third point on either side the way he was standing. The horny bastard has no idea how lucky he was today, he had absolutely no idea that I was there.

November 11th When I got to where I was going to go hunting this morning it was raining, no big deal, then just as I was going to get out of the truck the sky opened up. So I decided to sit in the truck and wait it out. An hour later and the rain hadn’t let up at all, the remnants of hurricane Nicole were going through, so I decided to head home and wait the storm out there. Just after I got home the rain all but stopped. Sigh, just my luck. About 1230 I headed back out, it was still raining but not to terribly bad. I set my tarp up so that I could sit out of the rain and got comfy for the afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything today. All of the so called experts, most of whom are self-described, claim that when storm fronts are moving through it’s a great time to hunt. I have never and once again today seen a deer out and about during a rain storm.

November 18th I did not hunt anymore during the rest of Archery Season. Today I made the 5 and one half hour trip north to New York State for the Regular Firearms Season. Saturday the 19th is the Opening Day of the regular season. It was cold, blustery and snowy. Unfortunately, no accumulation though.

November 19th-23rd Saturday I woke up with a killer sinus headache so wasn’t out before daylight like I prefer. It was still cold and blustery but no snow. None of us at camp or the neighboring camps saw anything. Sunday it was again cold and blustery with no snow, I don’t mind the cold and blustery when we have snow to go along with it whether in hunting season or not. Again no one saw anything. That evening I went to my parents’ house to spend some time with the rest of the family. Monday morning, I got up and with the wind being so harsh the day and night before I decided to wait until daylight to head down to camp in case there were some trees down across the road that needed to be cut out of the way. When leaving the evening before Mariah and her boyfriend had to cut one out of the way about five minutes after Josh, Dad, and Myself had gone through. Fortunately, none had come down after they had left. The other camp that usually has guys there throughout the first week had all left already when I got there. I cleaned out the woodstove and got a fire going in the cabin for Guinness to stay warm and for It to be warm for me to change when I came back then I went out hunting for the rest of the day. With again nothing being seen except for Squirrels and Chipmunks. Josh took Tuesday and Wednesday off of work and was planning on being back out to camp that night so before I went back to my parents’ house I stoked the fire up good and full so there would at least be a good bed of coals for him when he got there. Tuesday morning when I got to camp at about 0530 Josh was still passed out on the couch with the fire just being a few coals. So I woke him up and got the fire gong again so Guinness would stay warm. Then headed out for a few hours. Squirrels and Chippies only again. After lunch I went to the old Railroad bed and set up my seat and sat there the rest of the day, with the same result as the morning. I stoked up the fire good before leaving camp for the night with the intention of going back down after dinner and spending some time with Nana. Got back to the cabin about 2030 with one of the farmers (I think) heading out way past dark, I am pretty sure for my own piece of mind I don’t want to know. Wednesday I got up before daybreak had breakfast and stoked up the fire then made the long walk to Bills stand in the farthest corner of the back field for a long day in the stand with absolutely nothing to show for it but a sore ass from sitting so much. Josh, Joe, Dad, Mariah, and Jacob came down to camp that night.

November 24th Thanksgiving Day, got up at around 330 made coffee got the fire going good again then had the discussion of where to have Joe sit for the morning. It was decided on where to put him and where Josh would be sitting. After they were just about to their stand I started heading down that way going to my seat on the old RR Bed. As such it was about 0715 before I got to my spot. After a few hours of sitting without seeing anything I texted the two of them to let them know I was going to be walking the thickets towards them. Josh had already gone in because he was cold but Joe was still in stand. After the slow walk that ended up being fruitless I got to Joes stand and could see him shivering in the tree. I told him to get down and we walked back to the cabin for Breakfast before heading back to my parents for Thanksgiving dinner. Shortly after dinner we went back to camp.

November 25th My last day of hunting in NY for 2022. It started raining some time during the night, I got up at 0330 had some coffee and then headed out to my seat on the old RR Bed getting there about 0600. After being rained on for about three hours and not even seeing the squirrels and chipmunks I packed up my seat and headed back for coffee and breakfast. Shortly after lunch I went out for about an hour until the I started getting seasick from the wind moving the tree so much and called the season quits heading back to camp and taking my tree stand with me.

November 26th I drove home missing the opening day of Rifle Season in Pennsylvania.

November 27th It was raining when I got up, straight up pouring in fact. So I waited until after I went and got groceries before I headed out. I found a large rub from a buck on a decent size tree about 100 yards downhill from where I had been hunting on the 11th. I had heard something moving around in that direction on the 11th but was unable to see it due to the brush and undergrowth. Talk about a confidence booster though. I hunted until about 1530 when it started to thunder and the wind picked up. Without seeing any deer, I decided to call it quits for the day.

November 28th I had an appt. to get my truck fixed for an issue with the advancetrac system in the morning so waited until the afternoon to go hunting with seeing absolutely nothing yet again.  With having to work the 29th,30th, and Dec 1st that concludes the month of November outdoor adventures.

Fitness and the Outdoors

There is undoubtedly an obesity problem in the US and Western Society as a whole. I am not saying this as a means to denigrate anyone. I am saying this because I truly believe the outdoors is the answer to the question of what do we do about this. For example on the last hike I went on I burned 907 calories in two hours time. Add into that the health benefits just from simply being outside.

I am sure that if people would start enjoying the outdoors more then they would also get to the point that I am now at where dropping weight/fat to better enjoy my time becomes a priority. That will lead them to better dietary choices, and possibly to start strength training as well. Neither of which is a bad thing in my opinion. Of course the outdoors is more than just hiking, fishing, or hunting. It is also Mountain Biking, Trail Running, Camping, Rock Climbing, Mt. Climbing, Canoeing/Kayaking, and more. It is also true in my experience that one outdoor activity will lead to more.

With all of that in mind I am going to use myself as an example. I am going to start strength training three times per week, hiking two to three times per week, shooting my bow daily, trail running 2-3x per week, and work on getting my diet under control and into the healthy place it should be. There will be a minimum of a monthly update here. At this time I weigh in at 230 pounds and about 24% bodyfat. Those are both unacceptable to me. It is unhealthy, and makes everything I do harder.

This week I am going to take Delta, our Australian Shepherd that we rescued last October, for her first hike. I am planning on taking her to the LHHT and going from the PW&S Grade to the Turnpike Bridge and back. I will have to carry some stuff that Guinness usually carries but once she is used to hikes I will get her a pack of her own so she can carry the items.

Until next time enjoy the gifts of the creator in all of their glory.

01 January 2021

Well it has been a few months, about six to be exact, since I last posted here. Since it is a new year I will do my best to get back in the habit of doing a post weekly. This is something that I have been really bad at since starting this blog.

Today we went to the Que Dam Trail for a First Day Hike. We only went 3.33 miles, but it was a sloppy slippy hike. The first time that I have been over there since hunting season. Both the streams that I had to cross last time I was there were almost completely dry. This time they were flowing at their normal level. It was actually good to see. It sucked having to cross them though. The temps were in the low 30s upper 20s. There was no wind to speak of, which is always a good thing and even more so in the winter.

In 2020 I went on thirty eight hikes. Covered 159.41 miles over 65:23:52. Unfortunately I did not get out on any overnighters. I will try to rectify that last one this year. I am going to get out on some new to me trails this year as well. With that I will sign off now, until next time stay safe on the trail and enjoy the beauty that the creator gave us in all of their glory.

24 & 28 May 2020

On Sunday the 24th Christina and myself went fishing for a couple of hours. We then went to Yoder Falls and met up with her brother. It isnt a very long hike but it is quite strenuous. It is pretty down there, and I am definitely planning on going again during the week sometime when there are more likely to be fewer people there.

Yoder Falls

On Thursday 28 May Guinness and I went on an 11.5 mile hike. We left the Menoher Hwy (Rte 271) Trailhead for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail at 0715. At 1130 Christina picked us up at the Lincoln Hwy (Rte 30) Trailhead. It reinforced in my mind that I need to lose some weight. I enjoyed myself and got mentally recharged yet it still hurt more than it should have. I will do the same hike or a similar one again in a few months time. I did learn one important lesson. I need to ensure that my watch is fully charged before setting out on a long hike like that. When I was about 1/2 mile from the Lincoln Hwy Trailhead the watch battery died. It was a beautiful day for the hike. It was foggy and cloudy with a slight breeze for most of the hike. Just before the watch battery died the sky opened up and we had a cloudburst. Guinness kept stopping and trying to shake the water off as it was coming down on him. I had to keep telling him that we just had to suck it up it was going to be over with soon enough.

Guinness looking down the trail

Until next time stay safe on the trail and enjoy the gifts of the creator in all of their glory.

First Post in awhile

Well I haven’t done any posts since right after Abby died March of last year. I promised myself that I wouldn’t let myself get into a funk and neglect myself and not put everything off to the back burner and solely focus on my grief. Unfortunately I was unable to keep that promise to myself. Now I have to get back into eating properly, getting daily physical training in, and keeping up with the other things that are important to me like this blog.

Guinnessontrail

Yesterday I took Guinness to the 653 trailhead for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. We did an out and back for a total distance of 5.5 miles. There is a hell of a climb when you are heading north shortly before the trailhead connector trail. Guinness is starting to slow down when we go which saddens me a bit, but he is still very much always ready to go. When we were almost done with the hike we met up with some people on the way to the shelters who also had a dog with them. Guinness wanted to play with the other dog, it was hell trying to keep him calm while we waited for them to get past us. The both of us were pretty tired by the time we got back to the truck. Part and parcel of me not being diligent with my health over the last few years and last year especially.

I am going to be more diligent with doing a trip report following each outdoor excursion. This blog was started as a hiking only blog but is changing to an outdoors blog. I am going to get back to doing physical training each day. And definitely getting my nutrition back on track. I am know that doing both of those last two items will help me have a more enjoyable time in the outdoors regardless of which activity it is that I am pursuing at the moment.

So Far in 2019

Thus far 2019 has been a rather boring and sad year. We’ve been on eight hikes this year, went a total of 21.69 miles. Weve been on trail for a total of 08:48:06. Those have mostly been up at Laurel Mountain and at Laurel Hill State Park, with one or two on the LHHT.

A picture of Guinness out on the LHHT the last week of February and the logo that my niece designed for me.

The year has been sad because about one month ago our Jack Russell Terrier Abby was diagnosed with cancer. At twelve years old and having a bad heart (diagnosed last July) we made the hard decision to forego putting her through the stress of exploratory surgery to determine exactly where it was and decided to just keep her comfortable until the end. We made the decision to have her put to sleep this morning, I know that it was the right thing to do for her but I hate myself for it right now. Rest easy little girl play among the trees and meadows digging to your heart’s content we will see you before to long my little love.

2018 review & 2019 plans

Well its now 2019 Anno Domini and once again time to review what I accomplished over the last year.  I hiked a total of 194.84 miles, close enough that I will say 195. I was on the trail for seventy-six hours and twenty minutes (76:20:00), I also had one night under the stars. Guinness did rather well with that and I am going to be heading out with him more this year, but more on that later.  I hiked a total of forty-five (45) times this year, which was seven (7) times short of the goal that I had set. I did the hike in Caledonia State Park in April, I hiked on the AT.  The one night under the stars was on May 04-05 on the LHHT from the Rte. 31 trailhead north to the Rte. 30 trailhead. I had my two straps on my backpack break but made it work.

Now on to this years goals that I have set so far. I am planning on being on trail at least fifty-two (52) times with each hike having to be at least two (2) miles in length for it to count.   Hike a total of ninety (90) hours covering a total of at least 200 miles.  Take at least five (5) overnight trips with one being on the AT between Caledonia State Park and Pine Grove Furnace.  Section Hike the Lost Turkey Trail in 3 sections. Hike the Morrison Hiking Trail in the Allegheny National Forest. Start on climbing the 46 High Peaks in the ADK.

As I come up with more goals I will add to the list and update it here as well. I also decided that I would wait until the beginning of this year to begin the year on the trail that I had laid out the plan for in November. So that will be getting done starting in the next few days as well. Until next time stay safe on the trail and enjoy the gifts of the creator in all of their glory.
